The Globalink Network, is holding its
4th WORLDWIDE MEETING at
the Le Meridian Resort Beach Hotel, in
Phuket, Thailand. All indications are
that it will be the biggest meeting
yet for the Network.
When the Tsunami struck this region a
year or so ago, all of us can recall
the work of many around the World that
helped in the rescue and recovery
efforts. A number of Globalink
members participated in a several
ways, which was quite gratifying for
the network. However it still left
the group thinking what more could be
done? The Globalink Network, the
industry’s premier independent
forwarders/logistics network, will be
bringing close to a hundred attendees
to Phuket for their three day
Worldwide conference to help
contribute to the local economy as a
group.
William J. Siemens, President of the
Globalink Network commented, “Last
year our group met in Greece, not long
after the Tsunami hit. We observed a
moment of silence in honor of the
victims of this tragedy, and were left
thinking what more we could do. As a
group we feel great about making a
contribution towards economic
recovery.”
The Globalink Network is a network
based on commitment and quality. All
members commit to the same agency
agreement, the same arbitration
agreement, as well as a number of
other programs such as a quality
measurement and feedback program.
“There are plenty of networks out
there pushing how many members they
have, but loads of members with little
or no commitment makes no sense to
us.” says Mr. Siemens. The Globalink
concept is to recruit a limited number
of high quality committed members and
build programs and capabilities to
develop business together, instead of
hoping someone from a long list of
names might book something with you.
The Globalink Network Conference will
be held May 3 to May 6 at the Le
Meridian Resort Beach Hotel, Patong,
Phuket and observers are welcome. |
